World AIDS Day Benefit Class

I have been working in the field of HIV in Sub-Saharan Africa since 2008 and have been looking for a way to combine my two worlds, yoga and public health, and get involved in the HIV epidemic at a domestic level.

Regular class rates will apply. Cash donations for AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts are encouraged in addition to your regular class pass.

World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day started in 1988, was the first ever global health day. It is held on 1 December each year and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died.

AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts

All proceeds for this class will go to AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts. AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts is a leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS, advocating at the city, state, and federal levels for fair and effective AIDS policies, conducting cutting edge HIV prevention programs, and providing health and wellness services to people already living with HIV. Founded in 1983, AIDS Action is New England’s largest AIDS service organization. Their work – in conjunction with partners around the state – has given Massachusetts one of the best track records in tackling this epidemic.
